1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Mathix (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. License to Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Mathix on devices you own or control, for personal or internal educational and professional purposes. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law or permitted by the licenses of the open source components listed on our Licenses page.

3. Free Trial

Mathix offers a free 3-day trial per device. To enforce the trial period, we store a device-level identifier and trial start date, as described in our Privacy Policy. You agree not to circumvent, reset, or otherwise extend the trial period, including through modified builds, emulators, or automated tools.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

• Plan. Mathix Pro is an annual subscription granting full access to all features after the free trial ends. Pricing is shown in the App and app store listing prior to purchase, may vary by region, and is subject to change with notice.
• Payment. All purchases are processed by Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Google Play or App Store account settings.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled solely by the platform that processed your purchase, under Google's or Apple's refund policies. We cannot issue refunds directly.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on our backend services.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, accounts, or data.
• Use the App in a way that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.

6. Intellectual Property

Mathix, its name, logo, user interface, and original code are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. The App incorporates third-party open source components used under their respective licenses; those components remain the property of their authors. See the Licenses page for details. Mathematical results you produce with the App are yours to use freely.

7. Accuracy Disclaimer

Mathix performs symbolic and numerical computation locally on your device. While we strive for correctness, computational results may contain errors due to floating-point precision, algorithmic limitations, or malformed input. You are responsible for verifying results before relying on them for academic, engineering, financial, medical, or other consequential decisions.

8. Warranty Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or academic or professional outcomes arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or its backend services if you breach these terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
